Job Responsibilities

On-the-Job Training – Work alongside licensed electricians to gain experience in residential electrical installation, service, and troubleshooting

Install & Service Support – Assist with installing and repairing electrical panels, outlets, lighting systems, wiring, and backup generators

Material Handling – Load and organize tools, parts, and equipment for daily jobsite use

Safety Compliance – Follow all OSHA and company safety standards when working with power tools and live circuits

Jobsite Clean-Up – Maintain clean and safe workspaces throughout the day

Code Awareness – Learn about local and national electrical codes to help ensure code-compliant installations

Customer Support – Represent Folkes professionally when onsite and assist with basic customer interactions as directed by the lead electrician

Documentation – Learn to use software tools like ServiceTitan to record job status, materials used, and service notes

Qualifications

Eagerness to Learn – No prior experience required, but interest in electrical systems and a career in the trades is essential

Mechanical Aptitude – Basic knowledge of tools and comfort working with your hands

Physical Ability – Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in crawl spaces, attics, and outdoor conditions

Dependable Work Ethic – Reliable, coachable, and ready to show up every day with a positive attitude

Strong Communication Skills – Able to take direction, work well on a team, and speak with customers when needed

Valid Driver’s License – Clean driving record preferred for long-term advancement opportunities
