Security Officer I
The Security Officer I is responsible for protecting guests, team members, and company assets by maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. This role provides frontline safety services including monitoring access to restricted areas, assisting with the secure transport of money and gaming materials, responding to incidents, identifying safety hazards, and ensuring adherence to local laws, gaming regulations, and internal controls. Security Officers serve as visible representatives of the organization's commitment to hospitality, professionalism, and regulatory compliance while operating effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure casino environment.Starting Pay: $21.00 How You Will Create the Extraordinary
Safely assist in the transport of money, chips, tokens, and markers to designated locations. Monitor and control access to restricted and sensitive areas of the property. Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, accidents, and emergencies involving guests or team members. Observe and document patron and employee movement throughout casino entrances, exits, and secure areas.Identify, report, and help mitigate potential safety hazards or security concerns. Maintain a secure environment by always ensuring the safety of all guests and employees. Consistently demonstrate a pleasant, courteous, and welcoming demeanor while interacting with guests and staff. Stay informed of current special events, promotions, and activities to provide accurate information to guests.Perform additional duties assigned to support overall safety and operational needs. What You Will Need
Ability to write reports. Ability to use a telephone and two-way radio. Ability to read and understand memos. Knowledge of local and state laws and gaming regulations. Knowledge of internal controls and Innkeeper laws. Ability to perform duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.Knowledge of required OSHA regulations A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must hold a valid gaming license. Standing and walking for approximately 80% of the shift. Climbing tasks required approximately 5% of the time. Bending and lifting 15% of the time, including lifting up to 250 lbs. with assistance.Work performed in a casino environment with exposure to both hot and cold temperatures.
