Full Time Armed Security Officer Primary Location: Brighton, CO Wage: $25.80/HR Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Job Duties: Patrol assigned site on foot or in a vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons. Respond to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force is required.Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community. Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues. Security screen all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities.Monitor surveillance cameras. Basic Requirements: 21 years of age or older. High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months. Above average computer / technology skills needed - tablet, computer, or smartphone. Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills needed.Must be able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift. All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. 2 - 5 years of armed experience (Military, LEO, or Armed Security). Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification. Must have a reliable personal vehicle.Must have the legal right to work in the United States. Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular). Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication. Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus. Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner. Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift. Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.
