Innovative, interconnected and highly collaborative, the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus delivers life-changing treatments, patient care and professional training and conducts world-renowned research fueled by over $757 million in research grants.The Division of Hematology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has an opening for a full-time Associate Professor/Professor to lead the classical hematology section and is seeking a Board certified or board eligible hematologist for this purpose. The new faculty member would be expected to participate in clinical and translational research related to hematology, and to engage in training of medical residents, fellows, and others associated with the Division.Key Responsibilities: Ambulatory-based patient care, caring for patients with hematologic pathologic conditions Leading a group of faculty members dedicated to classical hematology Partnering with hospital and school of medicine partners to build a hematology program Supervising nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, fellows, residents, and medical students as neededCarrying out a research program Participating in and leading outreach activities, including outreach clinics outside the CU-Anschutz campus, educational events for patients and their families, camps for patients, work with patient advocacy groups, and other similar initiatives Work Location: Onsite– this role is expected to work onsite full time, in various sites on the Anschutz Medical Campus located in Aurora, CO.Why Join Us: The Division of Hematology strives to deliver the best possible care to persons with blood diseases and to make today's care better for tomorrow through research, innovation and education.
