Summary Our client, a well-established commercial general contractor, is seeking an experienced
Superintendent
to oversee
multi-family construction projects in Summit County , supporting operations out of
Lakewood, CO . This role requires a strong field leader who can manage daily jobsite activities, coordinate subcontractors and internal crews, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Candidates with experience working on
mountain or high-elevation construction projects
are highly preferred. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on leadership and thrives in fast-paced construction environments. Duties&Responsibilities• Jobsite Leadership&Project Execution Manage and direct all jobsite activities from project start through completion
Oversee subcontractors and self-perform crews to ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications
Communicate daily with foremen and field staff to maintain productivity and project momentum
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and performance goals
Review RFIs, delays, and additional work requirements and coordinate solutions with the project team
• Subcontractor&Team Coordination Conduct weekly jobsite meetings with subcontractors to review schedules, safety, and project progress
Ensure subcontractors maintain schedule performance, safety compliance, and quality standards
Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate drawings and documentation
Track production of self-performed work to ensure efficiency and cost control
• Communication&Collaboration Work closely with the Project Manager and project team to address jobsite issues, schedule adjustments, or scope changes
Participate in project closeout planning and assist with closeout meetings prior to completion
Communicate professionally with owners, inspectors, and other stakeholders as needed
• Planning&Performance Develop strategies to keep projects on or ahead of schedule and within budget
Maintain jobsite organization and enforce company procedures and construction best practices
Ensure project goals are achieved while maintaining safety and quality standards
Oversee and coordinate up to
100 combined employees and subcontractor personnel
depending on project size and scope
Qualifications&Requirements• Experience Minimum
5 years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor
Experience managing large-scale construction projects, ideally including
multi-family developments
Additional experience in sectors such as industrial, office, retail, education, healthcare, hospitality, municipal, or tenant improvement projects is beneficial
• Technical Skills Experience coordinating and scheduling subcontractors on complex construction projects
Familiarity with construction scheduling tools such as
Primavera P6
preferred
Experience with construction management software such as
Procore
is a plus
Strong understanding of construction field operations, safety procedures, and project workflows
• Work Environment Ability to work onsite at active construction sites, including job trailer environments
Comfortable working in environments with typical construction noise and activity
