About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Investment Finance, a senior leader who will act as a critical link between the insurance balance sheet and institutional asset management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a global investment finance team, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of investment data, performance analysis, and disclosures.
This role is not traditional in its reporting structure; instead, it focuses on the strategic interpretation and communication of investment performance in alignment with the asset manager's evolving strategy and the insurer's capital objectives.
The VP will be expected to deliver analytical insights that go beyond basic explanations, develop frameworks connecting asset-level performance to enterprise outcomes, and partner with senior leaders across investments and finance.
Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA and public accounting experience strongly preferred.
A minimum of 10 years' investment finance experience, including at least 5 years in leadership positions, is required.
The ideal candidate will have a deep background in investment finance within insurance or other asset-intensive financial services, with a strong technical knowledge of various investment instruments.
The role demands a professional who is adept at engaging with an institutional asset manager, translating complex information, and is well-versed in the context of investment results concerning capital deployment and enterprise objectives.
The VP will also be responsible for driving automation, standardization, and continuous improvement in investment finance workflows, and must stay current on market conditions, accounting developments, and regulatory guidance.
