Office Manager
Position Type: Clerical Manage the school office, supervise other staff, assist the Building Administrator and perform general office skills. Required: High School diploma, HiSET, or GED Previous office experience Supervisory skills Computer/typing skills Basic bookkeeping skills Oral and written communication skillsOperation of office equipment Desired: Previous supervisory experience Strong organization skills Attention to detail Post-secondary education (Associate's Degree) Second language spoken that aligns with the school population. Manage day-to-day office activities. Maintain attendance records.Maintain inventory and order supplies. Manage accounting and payroll activities including first-level review of timesheets. Manage enrollment, registration, and transfer of students. Handle transportation requests throughout the year as requested. Receive school visitors and parents, answer questions or direct them to the appropriate person.Provide minor health service functions in absence of the nurse. Maintain office equipment and order supplies for machines. Maintain financial accounting records according to the district guidelines (including PCards) Maintain student records according to state and district guidelines. Process all billings and statements.Prepare, record, and submit payroll. Answer telephone, take messages, and relay messages. Develop forms and surveys for building use. Assist with weekly bulletin and calendar events that pertain to staff. Sort and distribute office mail. Record, count, and deposit funds for building projects.Collect, record, and deposit funds and issue receipts for payment of textbook fees. Prepare, copy, and distribute materials to staff and parents as directed. Schedule parent-teacher conferences as directed. Complete and document month end activities from Business and Finance Attend all mandatory trainings and meetingsAttend work on a prompt and regular basis. Maintain confidentiality. Maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationships with the public, students, and other employees. Assist with other duties as may be assigned FLSA Status: Non-Exempt FT/PT: Full Time Days: 260 Hours: 7.5 Frequent: Standing, walking, sitting.Moderate: Bending/stooping, Reaching/pushing/pulling, climbing stairs, driving, Lifting up to 20 lbs for 25 feet. Tasks: Telephone, computer Working Conditions: Constant inside.
