Line Cook, Royal Oak

Job description Holiday Market, a family-owned, gourmet grocery store in Royal Oak, is looking to hire several self-motivated and energetic Line Cooks for our Smokehouse. Candidates should have an upbeat, friendly personality and love to work with people! Other qualifications should include professional kitchen experience and working a hot line and grill. Responsibilities of the Line Cook: Prepare customer orders with accuracy and efficiency. Provide quality customer service. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock Carve and trim meats for hot or cold service. Contribute to an overall positive and collaborative environment. Qualifications and Skills of the Line Cook: Must have good knife skills, be able and willing to learn, and able to work independently. Works well with others; is reliable, fast, efficient and has great communication skills. Must be able to be on your feet for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Must have open availability and able to work nights, weekends and holidays. Benefits: Full time or part time positions available Pay starting at $18.00/ hour and ranging based on experience.
