Northwest Florida Community Hospital Clinics is looking a full-time medical assistant.
Perform direct care for patients of all ages in the clinic to include, but not limited to, assessing vital functions, assisting physicians and advanced practitioners by performing venipuncture and basic lab tests, administering medications, maintaining controlled medications in secure areas, maintains sample drugs. Performs administrative duties as required to include coding and billing, transcription, and front office functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF COMPETENT PERFORMANCE FOR THIS POSITION
:
Administrative Duties: Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member. Meet and greet patients and visitors. Schedule patients accordingly. Proficient use in EMR Maintains an accurate clinic electronic calendar Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office Insurance authorization and verificationPatient registration Enters patient's charges daily Obtains medical records as requested Support staff in assigned project-based work. Commits to outstanding guest relations and customer service; provides excellent customer service to meet the expectations of patients, visitors, and fellow associates; maintains courteous and professional conduct.Supports and promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values; adheres to all Hospital policies and procedures; commits to the Standards of Conduct; maintains professional appearance Clinical Duties:• Triage patients • Room patients • Perform medical history taking • Perform in office testing per clinic guidelines• Performing venipuncture • Performing specimen collection • Perform vaccinations • Administer medications • Document correctly and efficiently in EMR
Education and Experience :
1. High School Graduation or Equivalent
2. Certified Medical Assistant preferred
3. BLS certification
4. Medical office experience preferred

Pediatric (One month to 12 years) Young Adult (18 to 35 years) Adult (35 to 65 years) Geriatric (65 years and over)
