CNC Machinist
This role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will be responsible for programming and setting up various CNC lathes for machine operators, collaborating with engineers to design fixtures and setup tools. Quality inspections using precision measuring instruments are essential to guarantee product specifications. You will also work with engineering teams to improve processes and implement new tooling solutions, manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, and address any production issues promptly to minimize downtime.Responsibilities Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Program and set up CNC lathes for machine operators, collaborating with engineers to design fixtures and setup tools. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met.Collaborate with engineering teams to improve processes and implement new tooling solutions. Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring proper packaging for shipment. Address any production issues promptly to minimize downtime. Essential Skills Proven experience as a CNC machinist.Proficiency in operating both manual lathes and mills. Familiarity with CAD/CAM programming. Strong knowledge of tooling practices and precision measuring instruments. Excellent leadership abilities with strong communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.Experience working with OEMs and suppliers to identify and purchase the correct tooling. Additional Skills&Qualifications Experience programming Mazatrol T Plus CNC controllers. Experience programming Mazatrol SmoothG CNC controllers. Experience optimizing toolpaths for maximum tool life and productivity. Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and moving equipment.
