Job Description

Provide reporting expertise to all areas (Financials, Sales, Operations, Procurement, etc.) and act as the technical consultant pertaining to reporting packages within the company. This position may perform tasks such as analysis, research, pre-packaged software configuration, design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, training, documentation, and maintenance of reporting applications.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand organizational data needs and establish a roadmap for Business Intelligence (BI) solutions aligned with business objectives.

Develop efficient data models, including star schemas, snowflake schemas, and data marts, for data warehousing and BI.

Implement data validation, cleansing, and auditing processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Monitor and optimize BI solutions to prevent performance issues.

Manage BI projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring delivery on time and within scope.

Implement new information while allowing business functions to continue uninterrupted.

Quality test report code and/or configuration setup; ensure thorough testing by self, team, or end user before installation.

Work with cross-functional teams (business units, data analysts, IT) to understand data needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.

Provide training and support for BI users to improve data accessibility and interpretation.

Mentor junior team members.

Ensure system safety, protect reporting assets, and maintain data security.

Skills and Certifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field required

5 8 years' experience as a programmer/analyst preferred

Experience with reporting software (e.g., Oracle's Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), BI Publisher)

Data warehouse experience preferred

Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL or other procedural programming languages.
