Microbiologist I

This position resides in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control's Environmental Laboratory. This position will focus on activities associated with the microbiology, molecular ecology, and field services sections. This position will plan, conduct, and perform analyses that will produce technically sound and legally defensible data and will utilize information systems, create technical reports, troubleshoot and maintain instruments, develop Standard Operating Procedures and quality documents. Other duties include field sample collection, data review and approval, and maintaining laboratory certifications. All work to be completed in accordance with EPA, FDA, and NELAP standards.
