Machining and CNC Trainer, Dover

Commercial Fluid Power, a subsidiary of the National Tube Supply Company, specializing in supplying machining services to the fluid power industry is seeking a highly skilled Machining and CNC Trainer to lead the development and technical upskilling of our machining team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, providing hands-on instruction for both manual and CNC operations. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in machining mechanical tube parts and possesses the patience and communication skills to mentor both novice and experienced operators. Key Responsibilities Technical Instruction: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs covering manual lathe and turning machining, specifically focusing on precision techniques such as boring and honing. CNC Development: Lead training sessions on CNC lathe and mill equipment, ensuring operators are proficient in setup, tool offsets, and program execution. Specialized Expertise: Provide expert guidance on machining mechanical tube parts, maintaining strict tolerances and quality standards unique to fluid power applications. Equipment Mastery: Act as the primary technical resource for Doosan and related CNC machinery, troubleshooting operational issues and teaching advanced equipment features. Safety&Quality: Embed safety protocols and quality inspection techniques into all training modules to ensure a "zero-defect" culture and a safe shop floor environment. Qualifications&Skills Extensive Experience : Proven background in a heavy industrial machining environment, with a mastery of manual turning, boring, and honing processes. CNC Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of CNC lathe programming and operation, with specific experience in Doosan controls or similar platforms. Technical Aptitude: Deep understanding of blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and precision measuring instruments. Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand instructions for diverse learning styles. Industry Knowledge: Experience working with mechanical tubing or the fluid power industry is highly preferred. NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
