Design Director
The Design Director ensures to provide structural design and technical support to the organization's technical design team and projects site. This position is responsible for driving and finalizing key aspects of design, assessing build-ability, value engineering, liaising with the architects, structural engineers, other consultants, and the site production team to ensure the smooth flow of detailed information throughout project lifecycles.Responsibilities include: Review all specifications, drawings, and bill requirements to define all architectural requirements for the project. Assist in the interpretation of architectural design standards established by local jurisdictions. Prepare, review, and evaluate contract technical specifications for architectural elements of capital improvement projects.Administer and provide concepts for improving plans according to circumstances and resolving any related problems that may arise during construction. Stay abreast of innovative developments and incorporate these advancements in the development and design of new forming systems/equipment intended to expand productivity, capabilities, and market share.Develop and maintain customer relationships to enhance the company's ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency. Work in cooperation with other office personnel to negotiate and execute sales contracts consistent with policies. Contribute to the project's safety goals by reducing hazards during the design planning state, ensuring that all formwork systems meet construction and safety standards.Assist with the development and coordination of material and equipment schedules and promote their efficient use. Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.Job responsibilities include advanced knowledge of BIM modeling and AutoCAD, knowledge using IT in design and project management, specifically using computer-aided design software, demonstrable knowledge and implementation experience of enterprise application architectures/integration and associated patterns, knowledge in preparation of tender applications and presentations, in-depth knowledge of drawing requirements and work execution, knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations, ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role, minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus.Additional responsibilities include agility, AI fluency, resilience, quality, bachelor's degree in graphics design or architecture, certificate in chartered membership of a professional organization such as CIOB or RICS, leadership, QA/QC L4, drawings/specifications L4, construction design software L4, HSE L4, value engineering L4, build high-performing teams, provide direction.*If you have a passion for and a strong background in construction&real estate, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
