CAD Designer, North Carolina

Job Responsibilities:

CAD Drafting & Design:
• Create, revise, and maintain detailed AutoCAD drawings for capital projects across the site.
• Ensure adherence to drawing standards and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Project Management & Coordination
• Lead and coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and drawing packages.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for engineering documentation and drawing logistics.
• Act as a liaison between engineering, operations, maintenance, and external vendors to ensure seamless communication and execution.
• Participate in project meetings, report on drawing and project status.

Skills:

3+ years of experience in CAD drafting, project coordination, and/or project management.
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or industrial engineering environments.
Understanding of capital project workflows, documentation control, and project lifecycle management.

Education/Experience:

Proficiency in AutoCAD
Proficient understanding drawings for electrical, mechanical, piping, architectural, and utility systems.
Strong background in project coordination or engineering support, with exposure to project management practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with GMP, FDA, or other regulatory standards is a plus.
