About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Utilities and Engineering Services to provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership for its campus-wide utility systems and engineering services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, sustainable, and cost-effective delivery of utilities and engineering support that align with the institution's academic, research, healthcare, and residential missions.
This role involves leading a multidisciplinary organization, setting and executing a long-term vision for utility and engineering services, and developing and implementing master plans and resiliency initiatives.
The Executive Director will also serve as a trusted advisor on infrastructure risk, capacity planning, and investment decisions, and will be heavily involved in energy management and decarbonization efforts.
Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a BS degree in a facilities management-related field, with an engineering degree preferred, and at least 15 years' experience in facilities management or a related field, including progressive leadership experience.
The role requires a strong customer service philosophy, the ability to motivate staff, and experience in a mission-critical environment.
The ideal candidate will have a background in higher education or a similar setting and must demonstrate excellent communication, analytical, and budget management skills.
The Executive Director will also be responsible for fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and environmental stewardship, as well as leading a diverse team and building strong partnerships with various stakeholders.
