Painting of Heinz Munnich (1921-1977) entitled “Skyline” New York. Painted in 1969. Dimension: 24 po. X 36 inches. Painting was bought at the Galerie des Beaux-Arts of Montréal in the early 70’s. The painting is in excellent condition.

Heinz Munnich was born in 1921 at Chemnitz in Germany. The son of an artist, his talent was soon recognised at a young age, then he was employed by a commercial artist before finishing his studies at Hanover’s University of Arts. In 1944, after university, he becomes a freelance painter. His technique gives stunning effects in his landscapes and abstracts. Heinz Munnich traveled widely and studied with Professors Beck and Torrak. He also spent time in Luxembourg at the Fischbach Castle. He is well known by experts in arts and collectors. His works have been exposed since 1934 at Munich’s Fine Art Museum in Germany. His works were also at the Arnot Gallery of New York (U.S.A.) and many other art galleries and fine art institutions. Heinz Munnich died in 1977.
