Description
Core responsibility will be design/field work support activities, which includes but is not limited to administrative support functions such as; billing and payment tracking, customer service and general office duties. Tracking and assisting with activities related to compliance with internal business rules as well as the electric and gas tariffs, and state, local, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and support data integrity and process adherence within the design organization.

May also assist with creating, updating and revising sketches, working drawings and contract documents using (GIS software) and be able to assist with the annual 5-year refunable agreements and reporting to the capital budget.

Must be able to read and comprehend detailed customer requirements, data sheets and supplier specifications. Assignments will be completed utilizing information provided by project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff under the direction of a supervisor. Requires familiarity with drafting techniques and engineering concepts and terminology. Able to read engineering drawing and blueprints. Prepares documentation to support design drawings. Prepare bills of material, schedules, and assist engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and construction issues.

The role involves a lot of data entry, communication with internal and external customers, and working with limited supervision within a small team. The contractor will use various software, including Microsoft 365, Outlook, Adobe, and Excel, to respond to customer needs and work with several internal departments to get projects started and completed.

What does a typical day look like?

A typical day involves individual and team contributions, data entry, communication with customers, and collaboration with internal departments. The contractor will work closely with two other individuals on the process and may interact with up to 100 designers, helping build packets, track payments, and manage service installations.

What are the top 3-5 skills and qualifications (technology/application/software, etc.) required?

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Attention to detail and self-motivation.

Knowledge of Adobe and Bluebeam is a plus.

Background in design, business, or accounting is beneficial.
