Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician

Location: Edison, NJ 08818

Initial Duration – 3+ months contract

 

Shift Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Weekend Requirement- On call Only Holidays- As Needed. On Call- Required. Rotating coverage for 1-2 shifts per week. No float requirement.

Pay rate: $66/hr. on W2

 

Note:

Local/Travel Contracts available in multiple departments in all states.

 

Job Summary:

Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, body.

Interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist.

Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons.

Groin management post-intervention.

RAD TECH for IR Department.

Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent.

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Interventional Radiology department supporting both body and neuro procedures.

3 IR suites with 2 biplanes and one single plane, as well as a 9 bay recovery room.

 

Required Skills:

Minimum 1-year prior experience as a licensed Radiology Tech required.

Strong knowledge of Floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines.

The ability to identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases.

The ability to critically think during interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist.

The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical records and send images to Sectra/PACs system.

Strong communication skills using closed-loop communication.

The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for caseload.

Demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to professionally and effectively communicate information to patients required.

Strong organizational skills required.

Ability to handle multiple tasks required.

 

Required Certifications & Licensure:

New Jersey Radiologic Technologist license.

Vascular Interventional Radiology or Radiology Certification through ARRT.
