is seeking technically minded candidates to join our Authorizations Team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on trade experience who are looking to transition into a stable office environment with long-term career growth opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience as an HVAC Technician, Electrical Technician, Plumber, Appliance Repair Technician, Automotive Mechanic, or Computer Repair Technician. In this position, you will work directly with field technicians to help diagnose system failures and determine warranty coverage eligibility.
This opportunity is a great way to get out of the cold and into a position that provides career advancement potential and stability.
Please note: This position is on-site at all times. Schedule: 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM (No Exceptions) 4 days during the week with one weekend day.
Responsibilities Review and assess warranty claims against policy terms to determine coverage eligibility while ensuring accurate and compliant resolutions. Communicate warranty contract verbiage confidently and accurately to service providers. Examine warranty contracts and work with service providers to determine if service requests and/or repairs are covered under the warranty agreement.Provide service providers with accurate determinations regarding item failures and coverage decisions. Ensure repair costs remain within company pricing guidelines. Negotiate with third-party vendors to reduce claim costs while maintaining service quality standards. Manage a high volume of claims efficiently while meeting performance and productivity goals.Communicate vendor and repair professional concerns, including pricing trends and industry-related issues, to the Vendor Relations Team. Educate service providers on company service expectations and procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the claims process. Requirements
1-2 years of trade experience in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Appliance Repair, Automotive Repair, or Computer Repair required. Entry-level candidates who have graduated from a Technical School will also be strongly considered. High school diploma or GED required. Strong computer proficiency and typing skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to manage high claim volume and meet performance expectations.
