About the Role
The Company is seeking a Controller to be a hands-on financial leader and strategic partner, with a focus on modernizing financial processes and driving transformation in a custom manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all accounting functions, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
A critical aspect of the role is the redesign and implementation of a robust cost accounting system, aligned with the manufacturing environment, to improve visibility into margins and enhance decision-making.
The Controller will also lead initiatives in manufacturing variance analysis, ERP optimization, and operational finance, acting as a key partner to the operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
Applicants for the Controller position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA preferred, and *****+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
Strong expertise in cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting, is essential.
Experience in ERP systems, with a focus on implementation, optimization, or transformation, is also required.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving processes, systems, and financial visibility, and be comfortable operating in a mid-sized, owner-operated company.
A background in custom, job-shop, or engineer-to-order manufacturing, as well as experience with regulated industries, is preferred.
