Instructor in the CYS Instructional Program Job Description

The instructor serves in the CYS Instructional Program, providing individual and/or group lessons to participants. They offer less structured activities for parents and children. They coordinate work schedules with the Instructional Program Specialist, develop individual and group lesson plans, and track participant accomplishments, goals, effort, and evaluations as appropriate for age and type of instruction. They maintain control of and account for the whereabouts and safety of program participants, observe and evaluate developmental levels, and record progress. They continually review instructional sessions and plans for appropriateness, observe participants for signs of illness, abuse, or neglect, and report as directed. They also plan and conduct special events for parents to promote the instructional program and encourage parental involvement.
