Job Summary

The Construction Automation Specialist supports the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) Construction organization by monitoring construction automation systems, ensuring data alignment across engineering and procurement platforms, and maintaining data quality within project tools. This role is responsible for SQL and Oracle database administration, report development, software quality assurance documentation, and supporting the implementation of construction project tools in a nuclear construction environment.

 

Job Description

  • Monitor construction Standard Applications Programs (SAPs) and assure data feeds from Engineering (SmartPlant, Databroker, Setroute, Inspec, etc.) and Procurement (BPS) are aligned and functioning properly
  • Assess data quality in TEAMWorks to ensure construction data input is properly managed
  • SQL and Oracle Database administration
  • SSRS and PowerBI report development
  • Process Director form development
  • Software Quality Assurance (SQA) documentation
  • Support the implementation of project tools
  • Conduct field inspections and participate in project walk-downs

 

Skills Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidates should be self-starters, highly motivated, requiring little supervision, and be able to work well in a team environment
  • Familiarity with nuclear quality and commercial practice standards is desired
  • Experience with SQL and Oracle database administration
  • Experience developing complex reports/views combining data from multiple sources
  • Experience with SQA documentation
  • Knowledge and experience of DOE, DOD, and/or commercial nuclear construction projects
  • Working knowledge of the Standard Work Processes Procedures (SWPPs) and the related Standard Application Programs
  • Knowledge of  “Zero Accidents” safety program
  • Recent experience working in a Construction Automation Role
  • Recent experience in TeamWorks, Process Director, SSRS, PowerBI, Fighter Series, and other COTS applications
  • Recent experience with SQA Documentation

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High School Degree or GED

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be physically able to conduct field inspections and participate in project walk-downs which may require extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, using fall protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE), walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, and maneuvering around very small and/or confined spaces

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Pay Rate $50.90-110.16/ hr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
