Job Title: Machine Operator

Duration: 3 Months Contract with possibility of extension

Location: Erie, PA 16512

Pay rate: $ 20.25/hr on W2

Job Description:

Operates fabricating machines, such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch, that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures.

Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.

Positions stop or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.

DISAMATIC Molding machine Operator:

Pour molten iron from a 2-ton ladle into the Asea furnace.

Take metal samples from the Asea furnace and deliver to the Met Lab.

Operate the Asea furnace.

Fill the alloy bin that is above the pouring line.

Fill alloy disc tubes with the correct size (thickness) of discs.

Place ram and swing pattern halfs on the Disamatic.

Put the proper coremask on the Disa and set the correct cores in the coremask.

Oversee the DISA operation including coresetting, alloy addition, and metal pouring.

Participate in repairs to the Asea, the Disa, the Mullor, and the Sand transporter.

Clean area at the end of the shift. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

GED or high school diploma.

Must pass a forklift training course and maintain license
