Intermediate Civil Design Engineer | Environmental, Wastewater, and Industrial projects

Description:

Immediate need for a Structural Engineer for design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, and specialty structures, as well as pipe and civil engineering design of wastewater facilities, sewers, etc. HYBRID SCHEDULE (3 days in-office. Flexible. Possibility of working in the Bridgewater office at a future date)

Responsibilities:

Design includes Civil, pumping and hydraulics for liquids, process, piping, earthwork, and roadways.

Execute work on multiple projects, as well as completing induvial projects and tasks.

Prepare calculations and analysis regarding water treatment plants and prepare technical memos.

Prepare engineering plans and specifications.

Provide engineering services, including review of shop drawings during construction of projects.

Coordinate drawing production between the different disciplines.

Job Requirements:

5 years + experience in Civil Engineering and Design related to water treatment plants, buildings, and specialty industrial structures.

BS Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on Civil Engineering.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, while completing individual projects and tasks.

Understanding of pumping stations, hydraulics for liquid projects, slurries, and viscous fluids. (Viscous liquids are those characterized by a high resistance to flow.)

Understanding of open channel flow hydraulics.

Proven experience with water and wastewater process design.

Knowledge of piping system design including materials, layout, support, anchorage, and expansion.

Experience with earthwork and roadway design as well as chemical storage and feed systems.

Experience with stormwater management and treatment.

Excellent communication and writing skills.

Attention to detail; highly organized.

Self-starter; able to multitask.

Education:

BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Civil
