Description

Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, code, test, debug, implement, and document complex application software.
Translate high-level design documents into component-level designs to accelerate development.
Provide high-level design expertise to create flexible, reusable application components.
Analyze, design, and review applications and application suites to ensure customer and business specifications are met.
Work closely with architects, development teams, and senior designers to coordinate product development and implementation.
Recommend alternative technical solutions to meet business and system requirements.
Review and analyze technical research, tools, and methodologies to ensure designs adhere to industry and company standards.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and design artifacts.
Participate in and oversee test plan development, system integration, deployment, and release activities.
Support business process sessions, project meetings, and joint application development sessions.
Function as a domain expert and collaborate closely with developers to improve product quality and efficiency.
Participate in cost and feasibility analysis studies.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and work guidance to less experienced developers and designers.
Lead small sub-teams of developers as needed.
Support quality assurance activities including peer code reviews.
Evaluate existing systems and programs and assist project managers with task assignments.
Liaise with stakeholders to validate requirements and resolve complex technical issues

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
6+ years of application/software development, programming, design, and testing experience.
Strong hands-on experience with C, Oracle SQL, TFS, and Unix/Linux environments.
Experience working across the full software development life cycle.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, creative thinking, and design skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and switch priorities efficiently.
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience.
