divh2Receptionist Position/h2pThe Receptionist assists in the office of reception/general operations of St. Thrse of Carmel Catholic Church (STOC). The St. Thrse of Carmel Catholic Church serves roughly 3000 Catholic families in the Carmel Valley region of San Diego./ppResponsibilities include:/pulliProviding receptionist services for STOC/liliAnswering telephone, checking voicemail, taking messages and directing calls appropriately/liliGreeting visitors in-person and assisting with their inquiries/liliCoordinating STOC communications via weekly bulletin, Flocknote

parish website/liliReceiving payment (cash/check) and documenting receipt for candles and Mass intention cards/liliUpdating MS Outlook calendar, MS Word and Excel templates/liliProcessing new parishioner registrations and sending welcome cards/liliReceiving and routing STOC mail and packages/liliOther duties as assigned by Pastor or Pastoral Assistant/li/ulpRequirements include:/pulliExperience with administrative and office procedures/liliDemonstrated experience with Canva and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite, database entry/liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills/liliExcellent people skills and professional demeanor/liliWilling to learn; self-starter; professional; well organized; detail oriented; able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; possess a strong work ethic; punctual/liliMust be able to maintain confidentiality/liliFamiliarity with the organizational structure and practices of the Roman Catholic Church/li/ulpPhysical demands include:/ppWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to remain in an office at a computer workstation and access information from a computer and use a telephone. The employee is required to be mobile to, from, and within the office, as well as maneuver throughout the school facility to attend meetings, briefings, and other work-related events. The employee may be required to conduct trips to, from, and within various city and county-wide locations to attend meetings or events. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
