Description

AppleOne in North San Diego is now hiring for a Mechanic I responsible for performing routine maintenance repairs on Government-owned vehicles and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Pay is $34-$38/hour DOE. This role supports the Government’s commitment to providing essential services to the community through safe fleet operations. This incumbent is expected to conduct all work in a professional manner that upholds the integrity, values, and reputation of the Organization.

Normal Operating Hours:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Summer Operating Hours:
Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of work experience as a Mechanic or similar position.
• U.S. California active driver's license
• Experience with General Motors, CAT, Peterbilt, John Deere and heavy equipment preferred.
• Experience using electronic diagnostic tools (e.g. Snap-on Scan tools or equivalent).
• Microsoft Office and Windows platform
