Job Title: Accounting Specialist Pay: $19$22/hour DOE Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Start Date: ASAP Looking for a stable, detail-oriented role where you can make a real impact?
Join a well-established Multi-Family Property Management Corporation in Roseburg, Oregon.
This in-office opportunity is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and supporting financial operations in a structured environment.
As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Director and Accounting Department by managing accounts payable and receivable processes, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accuracy across multiple programs and accounts.
What You'll Do:
Support daily operations within the Accounting Department.
Maintain and apply knowledge of the general chart of accounts and bookkeeping practices.
Manage the full Accounts Payable process, including invoice tracking, vendor file maintenance, check processing, and payment reporting.
Process vendor ****s, including preparation and printing.
Reconcile Accounts Payable activity to the General Ledger.
Oversee Accounts Receivable functions, including posting payments, managing repayment agreements, collections, and tenant account reconciliation.
Process rents and utility allowance refunds accurately and timely.
Manage inter-program transfers and reconcile Due To/Due From accounts.
Reconcile various General Ledger accounts.
Assist with bank deposits and mailing as needed.
Maintain and track inventory records.
What You'll Bring:
Associate Degree in Accounting with at least two years of related experience, or five years of accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and general accounting principles.
Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
Ability to maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Multi-Family Property Management or Development.
Ability to read and interpret State and Federal regulations.
