divh2Quality Inspector II/h2pCadrex is searching for a Quality Inspector II to directly support site manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles, and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliUse measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, pin gages, surface plate, and height gage/liliRead and interpret blueprints/liliVisual inspection of product according to customer requirements/liliInspect and or test in-process product as well as finished product/liliDocument inspection results by completing required reports/logs/liliIdentify and quarantine all non-conforming product/liliGenerate and summarize non-conforming reports for discrepant product/liliKeep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and identify and address issues with equipment that may need repair/liliInspect and approve incoming materials where and when needed by confirming they meet specifications/liliAttend department meetings as required/liliInspect and release products for shipping by ensuring proper documentation or certifications are provided as outlined by customer requirements. Dimensional verification may be required)/liliLearn and assist with dimensional verification of PPAP and 1st article parts/liliCreate internal Control Plans in accordance with customer and Advanced Laser requirements/liliOperate FARO
Micro-Vu measurement equipment/liliProvide direct support to the production floor by assisting with interpretation and development of manufacturing related documentation and providing proper measuring techniques/liliAssist with calibration procedures and provide calibration of measuring equipment as outlined by site procedures and ISO Standard/liliLead and train Level I inspectors as needed to increase performance/liliTrain, identify, and implement lean process and project improvements/li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulliUnderstand industry safety standards and quality expectations/lili3 or more years working in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS with hands on inspection preferred/liliRead and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence/liliAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees/liliAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals/liliAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs/liliKnowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail software and the use of the internet/li/ulh3Education/h3ulliHigh school diploma/liliAssociate degree in related field preferred/li/ulh3Location/h3ulliOnsite/li/ulh3Schedule/h3ulliM-F/li/ulh3Work Environment/h3ulliWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
