Duties must be performed in ways that maximize production efficiency./ppResponsible for general repair, maintenance and cleaning of machinery as needed./ppInputs package quality testing results into Quality Windows program./ppOversees finished packaged items from machine and separates rejected items./ppManages machine components and settings according to product size./ppPerforms periodic inspection on machinery and mechanical equipment for accuracy of UPC code printing and label registration./ppOptimizes run-time during periods of shift rotation./ppClears jams and reports malfunctions for maintenance./ppResponsible for product size change over and tracking product flow./ppAdjusts machine controls for proper fill during production runs./ppActively communicates with maintenance all machine problems that exceed an operators ability to fix./ppCooperates with maintenance in all mechanical changes, PLC updates, and equipment installation./ppIncorporates rework into the finished product at established quality specifications as required./ppFulfills quality functions and conforms to all quality control regulations and procedures./ppCompletes record keeping and other paperwork as required./ppResponsible for general housekeeping around the production area./ppUpholds and provides safe, high-quality, consistent products, and superior services that anticipate, meet or exceed the requirements of our customers./ppComplies with General Safety Communication Program./ppPerforms other duties/tasks as assigned on an as needed basis./ppMaintains a high-quality product./ppUnderstands how to read package quality specifications (die-lines, temperatures, measurements, bag height etc.)/ppBasic experience with hand tools./ppWorking knowledge of computer basics and experience with data entry./ppManufacturing experienced desired./ppObserves physical changeover of product on the machine./ppHas ability to trouble shoot minor problems on packaging machines./ppHas a novice understanding of centerline machine settings adjustments (time, pressure, temperature)./ppBasic ability to read, write, calculate simple math, and withstand moderate amounts of stress./ppHigh degree of organizational skills required to maintain uninterrupted machine operation./ppGood analytical skills needed to plan and implement various machine operation functions./ppAbility to address complex problems and propose viable solutions./ppTo direct and train the case packer and end-line to perform essential job functions, at the behest of the supervisor or lead./ppExcellent oral and written communications skills required./ppPersonal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing Practices are mandatory./ppOperational knowledge of various coffee packing machines, printers, and metric tooling./ppThis position is inside a warehouse roasting facility that requires constant standing on concrete floors, exposed to loud equipment noise and subject to coffee dust and flavoring smells./ppHigh school diploma or equivalent./ppRegular attendance and promptness are a must for this job./ppThis job requires a high degree of teamwork./ppAssists new training of employees as directed./ppCascade coffee is committed to creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity.
