As a Automation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring our automated equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include performing preventative maintenance, documenting work activities, and replacing key components such as motors, circuit boards, sensors, bearings, and air cylinders. You will need to troubleshoot issues and identify the root cause of problems to maintain optimal performance.Schedule/Pay: Day shift / Monday - Friday Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on automated encapsulation, packaging, picking, storage and retrieval equipment. Perform precision mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic trouble shooting and repairs on automated equipment. Including mechanical components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, belts, rollers etc.Including electrical components such as contactors, relays, sensors, PLCs, VFDs, motor control boards, 120VAC to 480VAC, and 24VDC Inspect and identify problems with automated equipment and determine the best way to resolve issues. Read and interpret equipment service manuals and work orders to perform required preventative maintenance and repairs.Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs on various equipment during production hours. Make repairs and adjustments on equipment in a timely fashion to help ensure Uptime KPI goals are met. Willing to take ownership and display flexibility in issues that arise throughout the day, with a goal of achieving quick timely resolution.Willing to learn and adapt to changing role requirements. Record all maintenance work performed ensuring documentation is well written with correct information and workorder numbers in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Log all spare parts usage on work orders to help ensure an accurate parts inventory.Ensure proper care and maintenance of the tools and equipment supplied. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service. Comply with applicable good manufacturing (GMP), safety, and quality assurance practices.Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service. Conducts self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of SHP. Who You Are:
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair automated equipment. Experience in preventative maintenance and repair of industrial machinery is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements:
Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects (with or without reasonable accommodation)
