Middle School Custodian

Detroit Lakes Public Schools is seeking an individual to fill a full-time custodial position. Job Summary: Provides custodial support for the School District in order to provide clean, safe and healthy environment for students, staff and visitors. Cleans, washes, dusts, polishes, scrubs, strips, seals, waxes, buffs, vacuums, sweeps and mops the building facility, furniture and equipment. Stocks&maintains custodial areas. Conducts cleanup of bodily fluids. Position involves lifting of up to 50 lbs. Climbing of ladders, repetitive motion in performing tasks, etc. Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: Previous custodial building maintenance and outside grounds experience is desired. Special Knowledge, Skills, Certificates, Licensure Required: Special class or greater Minnesota boilers license required prior to probationary period ending. Minnesota class D or greater driver's license may be required. General knowledge in building electrical, plumbing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems is desired.Pay Rate: $20.90 per hour (differential pay of $1.00 included) (25-26 pay schedule pending negotiations) Benefits: Eligible for Public Employee Retirement, 403(b) retirement plan, Health Care Savings Plan, Flexible Benefits Plans, Life&Long-term Disability Insurance, Choice of available Health Insurance Plans.
