The maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and plant efficiency. This position involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems on all production machinery. The technician will also perform preventive maintenance, assist in equipment installations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES:·Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in a timely manner. Install, commission, and optimize new machinery and production lines. Collaborate with production teams to ensure equipment performance and minimize downtime.Document all maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals. Support the development and training of machine operators in basic equipment care. Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.Ensure all work complies with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

HEALTH&SAFETY Follow and promote all workplace health and safety procedures. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices at all times. Identify, report, and help correct potential hazards or unsafe conditions. Actively participate in safety meetings and improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS: 2 to 5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance or E&I technician in a manufacturing environment (experience in paper, packaging, or heavy industry is an asset). Strong knowledge of industrial electricity, electromechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex technical issues. Basic understanding of automation and PLC systems (an asset).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team. Physically fit, safety-conscious, and reliable.
