Hey Grand Blanc! Young people 18-30 especially! Do you support the recall of Supervisor Scott Bennett and Ckerk David B. Robertson? Are you interested in political action that can make a real difference? A successful petition drive is a great project to be part of. It’s great experience in grass roots political activism and organization. Local politics is where real change that affects you directly happens. We’re offering 20.00 per hour for door to door canvassing in teams, strategic planning, event planning/staffing.. Social media contributions a plus!

The Michigan state founders thought the right to recall was an important safeguard to include in 974 state constitution. Every state doesn’t give voters the opportunity to terminate elected officials when they fail to represent their constituents. We are lucky to have that option. When poor policies come to light the people shouldn’t wait two years to hold elected officials accountable. Too many politicians take the fact that they’re in office as permission to stop listening to the people and worse, stop working for the people.

The biggest hurdle to recall is the high bar for petition signatures to qualify for the ballot. Succeeding at this project, to gather 6,000 valid signatures from a voting pool of 23,000 in Grand Blanc Township, would be a great experience and resume builder.

The Recall option is a test of the will of the people to speak truth to power. Demand better from local officials. Be a part of history.
