Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I (Institutional Personnel Officer), the Associate Governmental Programs Analyst (AGPA) is responsible for facilitating seamless personnel service for Folsom State Prison through the position allocation and appointment process.
The incumbent perform with initiative and independence the more complex technical and analytical staff work as it relates to the institution's classification and pay, and personnel management functions, as well as provides advice and consultation to supervisors and managers.

Folsom State Prison is located approximately 30 miles east of downtown Sacramento and just minutes from old town Folsom.
The grounds of the prison are surrounded by beautiful landscaping and friendly wild animals (deer, squirrels, turkeys, geese, etc.)

Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
