This is an opportunity for qualified candidates to begin a path toward a full-time CDL A local dedicated driver position. Selected candidates who do not currently hold a CDL may be considered for company-sponsored CDL school. After successfully completing CDL school, obtaining a Class A CDL, and meeting hiring requirements, you will transition into a full-time local dedicated driving role.

Compensation After CDL Completion: $26.00/hour Overtime after 40 hours Annual pay increases What We Offer After CDL Completion: Home daily No-touch freight Local dedicated routes Union position with Teamsters Local 414, Medical/dental/vision, Paid holidays, vacation and personal time, 401(k) match up to 3%,Driver Duties After CDL Completion: Operate on local dedicated lanes from Fort Wayne, Roanoke, and Columbia City terminals to GM plants and back Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies Maintain logs and required documentation Communicate with dispatch and customers.Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old Able to meet pre-employment screening requirements Able to complete approved CDL school and obtain a Class A CDL Strong work ethic and commitment to safety No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.CDL sponsorship terms: Company sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates. If a candidate receives sponsored CDL school through Universal Logistics, repayment terms and employment expectations will be provided in writing before enrollment.
