Security Officer, Fort Worth

Duties and Responsibilities:
Protect the company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
Apprehend criminals and evict violators
Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
Report in detail on any suspicious incidents
Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
Performs other related duties as assigned
Work schedule is weekends and overnight hours (3rd shift).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position preferred
Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
Surveillance skills and detail orientation
Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
Ability to learn the layout of the property and building
Must have a valid Driver's License
Must be able to comply with all company policies and procedures
