Occupational Therapist (OT) PRN Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better Together· Work location\: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, Ft. Worth, TX 76104 · Therapy Services Work hours\: PRN, mainly weekdays between 8\:00AM-4\:30PM, on an as needed basis, 4 shifts per quarter required with 1 weekend day per quarter (every 3 months) and 1 holiday per year (Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4 th of July, Juneteenth, New Year’s) - bid for holiday Therapy Services highlights: · Supporting the 815-bed, Magnet-designated, full-service hospital that has served the Ft. Worth and surrounding community since 1930 · Supportive team of over 40 Occupational Therapists in anacute care trauma hospital – focus on inpatient. · Assist with splinting and wound care. Here’s What You Need · Bachelor's Degree Completion of an Occupational Therapy program Required · No Experience required – new grads are welcome! · OT - Occupational Therapist Texas Occupational Therapy License Upon Hire Required And · BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly R equired. · Good verbal and written communication skills in English. · Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others. · Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills. What You Will Do • Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care. • Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment. • Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment. • Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines. • Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel • Focus on Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Cognition of patients.
