Primary Purpose:
The LIFT Grant Instructional Coach supports the implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) and Research-Based Instructional Practices (RBIS) through job-embedded coaching, professional learning, and data-driven instructional support. This position builds teacher capacity, strengthens instructional practices, and improves student outcomes by providing ongoing coaching, modeling, feedback, and collaborative planning aligned to HQIM design and instructional expectations. The coach ensures fidelity of implementation and supports grant program requirements and documentation.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate Special Knowledge/Skills:
Deep knowledge of HQIM design, structure, and instructional intent Strong understanding of research-based instructional strategies Knowledge of curriculum alignment and standards-based instruction Skill in instructional coaching, adult learning, and feedback cycles Ability to model effective instructional practicesExperience facilitating professional learning and PLCs Knowledge of formative assessment and progress monitoring Strong data analysis and instructional planning skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional relationships Knowledge of MTSS and differentiated instruction practices preferredExperience:
Minimum three years of successful classroom teaching experience Demonstrated record of strong instructional practice and student growth Experience supporting or leading curriculum implementation preferred Coaching or teacher leadership experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Curriculum Implementation Support
Support high-fidelity implementation of HQIM and research-based instructional practices through classroom coaching, modeling, and instructional support. Deeply study HQIM materials and associated research-based instructional frameworks to guide teacher planning and delivery. Assist teachers in understanding HQIM scope and sequence, lesson design, and embedded assessment structures.Support lesson internalization and planning protocols aligned to HQIM and RBIS expectations. Teacher Capacity Building
Provide job-embedded coaching cycles including observation, feedback, modeling, and follow-up support aligned to HQIM and RBIS indicators. Model effective instructional delivery using HQIM and research-based strategies. Co-plan and co-teach lessons with teachers to strengthen instructional execution and student engagement.Facilitate PLCs focused on HQIM use, instructional rigor, and research-based teaching practices. Support teachers in selecting and applying RBIS aligned to student needs. Professional Learning
Design and deliver professional development aligned to HQIM and research-based instructional strategies. Support onboarding and ongoing training for teachers implementing HQIM and RBIS. Provide differentiated professional learning based on teacher need and implementation data. Reinforce instructional best practices aligned to grant expectations and district priorities.Data and Instructional Improvement
Analyze student performance and implementation data to identify instructional strengths and gaps. Support teachers in using formative and summative data to adjust HQIM delivery and RBIS use. Assist campus leadership in identifying trends and instructional priorities tied to HQIM and RBIS. Monitor instructional implementation indicators connected to HQIM and research-based practices.Other
Perform any and all duties as assigned. Successfully advance district initiatives.
Working Conditions:
Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions, prolonged use of computers. May be required to perform job duties including ability to conduct instruction, attend meetings and professional development, and make and receive phone calls in a virtual or remote workplace environment.
