Randstad is helping to secure a highly motivated Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to elevate manufacturing capabilities at our clients Winchester, Tennessee location. The successful candidate will focus on process optimization and strategic project execution, encompassing the design of tooling and fixturing, the efficient execution of capital equipment projects, and the streamlining of plant layouts and production sequences. We require a proactive, hands-on individual who enjoys eliminating inefficiencies and improving equipment performance directly on the shop floor. This role involves essential cross-functional partnership with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality to champion continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Welding experience is beneficial. Education Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline. Experience  Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering in a production environment.  Experience designing tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing process improvements. Welding experience a plus.  Experience supporting capital equipment projects and manufacturing line improvements. Technical Skills  CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)  Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.  Experience with process flow development, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving.  Understanding of manufacturing equipment, tool, automation, and production processes. Key Competencies  strong hands-on troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.  Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.  strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Effective communication across all levels of the organization. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Improvement
 Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce
waste, and improve product quality.
 Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
 Develop and maintain process documentation including process flows, work
instructions, and standard operating procedures.

 Develop plant layouts and manufacturing cell designs to optimize workflow,
ergonomics, and material movement.
 Support facility improvements, line balancing, and production capacity
improvements.
 Conduct time studies and workflow analysis t identify bottlenecks and
improvement opportunities.
Tooling, Fixtures, and Equipment
 Design and implement tooling, fixtures jigs, and other manufacturing aids to
improve safety, efficiency, and repeatability.
 Identify opportunities for automation and equipment improvements.
 Support equipment troubleshooting and reliability improvements in partnership
with maintenance and production teams.
Continuous Improvement
Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives focused on waste reduction, productivity
improvements, and process standardization.
 Implement measurable improvements in throughput, scrap reduction, and
equipment efficiency.
