The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: Prepares month-end bank and account reconciliations. Prepares and posts month-end journal entries. Prepares preliminary and final financial statements for departments. Collaborates with departments to resolve financial discrepancies.Records and sorts daily bank transactions. Assists in monthly and year-end tax payments and filings. Assists with audits by helping to provide documentation. Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be at least 21 years of age.Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting, or related field of study, from accredited four-year college or university. 0-2 years of related experience. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) required. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.Ability to read, to write, to comprehend and speak English. This job will have no supervisory responsibilities. Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. For every year of employment, Employee must: Obtain and maintain a license by the WV Racing Commission and/or WV Lottery as may be required for this position.Successfully complete and maintain certification in the Beverage Service Program (TIPS and TOPS) as may be required for this position.
