Lead engineering teams through all phases of design planning, execution and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, quality and other specified requirements stated in the contract. Complete projects to the satisfaction of the project manager, clients, and key stakeholders, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacob’s business and policies expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, engineering quality, financial, Project delivery, and risk management. Develop design level of effort for project bidding process. Develop, with the project manager, a complete design work plan. Quality control for project design in the office and around the region. Lead team to develop detailed design in water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and conveyance to meet or exceed performance targets. Identify areas of concern and risks associated with project constructability, level of quality, and attainment of final deliverables. Make decisions, in agreement with the project manager, to modify assignments, resources, priorities as part of the chartering process. Execute and promote effective, timely, and clear communications among the team, project manager and client. Lead teams of engineers and designers in the production of construction documents. Coordinate between multiple engineering disciplines. Identify non-design products, activities, and potential opportunities. Provide technical support to construction and startup of water and wastewater treatment facilities and processes. Lead a team on numerous different water treatment processes and technologies. With the Project Manager, develop subconsultant agreements as necessary and ensure that they are executed. Support and coach new engineers and team members in their technical, leadership and management development to ensure quality in their future deliveries and relationship with clients. Assist the PM to make negotiated contract changes in a timely manner.
Hybrid schedule is allowed.
Travel: Up to 10-15% domestic travel (as required by projects).

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related filed and 10 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in I&C Engineering.

The base salary range for this position is $146,700.00 to $201,600.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
