Electrical Manager

The Electrical Manager is responsible for leading the overall management of the electrical trades for a project, in both an estimating and preconstruction capacity. This role is responsible for understanding the deliverables, developing a work plan, and identifying resources required, while coordinating with the Lead Estimating Manager / Preconstruction Manager.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field or equivalent relevant experience At least five (5) years' experience in estimating for commercial construction Experience leading the bidding and budgeting process for the electrical trades for a project Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction management, including safety, quality, constructability and sustainability standardsLeadership level communication and organization skills Technical Job Knowledge:
Leads budget / bid / GMP assembly for the trade specialization Prepares detailed estimates at all phases of design; proficient in division 16 Manages and coordinates division 16 with all other divisions Leads constructability reviews for the electrical trades Leads the development of specific systems analyses and creation of Value Engineering and Alternates lists / logsResearches and compiles historical data for use in future estimate and bid preparation Participates in design progress / project meetings and client presentations Owns responsibility for overall trade partner / supplier coverage and effective communication and management; identifies and aligns the most qualified trade partners for the market sector and scopeCounsels, educates and coaches staff to help them develop necessary job skills Builds relationships with trade partners / suppliers, clients and design teams Core Competencies for the Role:
