Math Teachers Seeking math teacher candidates to provide instruction for students in grades 6-12 to achieve mathematical proficiency by developing both conceptual understanding and procedural fluency. The end result is the ability to think and reason mathematically and use mathematics to solve problems in authentic contexts. All applicants must meet the requirements for teacher certification stated by the Maryland State Department of Education. This ad is posted to create a pool of qualified candidates and not for a specific vacancy. Qualified candidates will be eligible to apply for specific vacancies as they occur. Under direction of the school principal, plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students. Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals to ensure success for every student. Develops, selects, and differentiates instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students. Maintains appropriate records, follows required procedures and practices, and uses data analysis to monitor student achievement. Meets Maryland State Department of Education certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
