This job location is not currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.
What You Will Do:
Ascension Seton Highland Lakes is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider, NP or PA, for our Orthopedic division in Burnet, TX.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Seton Williamson to provide medical services to patients.
Position Highlights:
hospital rounding and consults
call coverage requirement
APRNs need the RNFA cert
CME funds & allowance
Responsibilities:
Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.
Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.
Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted..
• Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Preferred Credential(s):
• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Education:
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
• 1 year of experience preferred.
