Embedded Software Engineer, Grand Prairie, TX

Develop real-time embedded software solutions in C/C++ for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) systems, simulation environments, and real-time operating systems. Support software development, integration, and testing activities within a cross-functional engineering environment focused on defense and aerospace applications.

• Education & Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of work-related experience
• Proficiency in C/C++ (C++11 or higher)
• Previous experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) working with a Real-Time Operating Environment
• Proficiency in Linux systems and real-time operating environments
• Experience with simulation systems
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Ada experience
• Full software development lifecycle experience
• Cross-functional or cross-disciplinary team experience
• Git, GitLab, and JIRA experience
• Agile (Scrum) experience

• Job Duties & Functions
• Develop real-time embedded software in C/C++ for HWIL and simulation-based systems
• Integrate software solutions into Linux-based real-time operating environments
• Support design, development, and execution of simulation and test environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and implement system requirements
• Debug, test, and validate embedded software performance in real-time systems
• Maintain software version control using established configuration management tools
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and execution
• Ensure compliance with defense and aerospace software standards and requirements

• 100% On-site full-time work in a defense aerospace engineering environment
• Must be able to work a 4/10A 1st shift schedule
