About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and solutions-driven Special Process Engineer to support and optimize critical manufacturing processes in a highly regulated production environment. This role is responsible for developing, validating, and improving specialized manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and industry standards.The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working cross-functionally to enhance manufacturing performance, process reliability, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and maintain special manufacturing processes to meet quality and regulatory requirements Create and manage process documentation, including specifications, standard operating procedures, and quality records Investigate process issues and non-conformances using root cause analysis and

corrective/preventive

action methodologies Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools to improve process capability, efficiency, and yield Conduct risk assessments such as PFMEA and implement mitigation plans Support compliance with industry and quality standards, including AS9100, NADCAP, ISO, OSHA, and EPA requirementsParticipate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits Support tooling, equipment evaluation, maintenance, and process upgrades Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to drive operational excellence Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations

Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field Experience 5–8 years of experience in a manufacturing or regulated production environment Aerospace industry experience is preferred but not required Technical Skills Strong understanding of special manufacturing processes such as: Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Heat Treat Welding Plating and Coating

Experience with SPC, process improvement methodologies, and data-driven decision making Familiarity with quality and regulatory standards including AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO Ability to interpret technical specifications and process documentation

Travel Potential travel between Grand Prairie, TX, Mexicali, Mexico, and other locations up to 10–20%.
