Job Purpose:
Your designs turn ideas into reality. Your eye for detail is second to none. But somehow, your vision is often overlooked.
You’ve got the creativity, the skill, and the drive, but you’re tired of seeing your designs go unnoticed or underappreciated. You’re constantly pushing boundaries, but you're stuck in a box where no one gets to see your full potential. At Wisenbaker, we believe great designers should be given room to lead. We’ve built a space where designers have the freedom to think big, design bold, and transform spaces from concept to completion. If you’ve got the experience, we’ve got the team and the support to help your designs shine.
Your Mission:
Take full ownership of designing custom cabinets that are both functional and beautiful. This means collaborating, using your creativity to solve problems, and translating ideas into detailed, functional designs. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where your designs will be seen by thousands, so precision and innovation are a must.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
What You'll Be Doing:
Design custom cabinetry from initial concept to final installation, for both residential and commercial spaces, ensuring every detail matches client needs and project specifications, while adhering to budget constraints and timelines
Collaborate and communicate closely with sales, production, and installation teams to solve problems and bring your designs to life
Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.) to create detailed drawings and blueprints
Recognizing industry trends and innovations to continuously elevate the design offerings
Qualifications & Required Skills:
We’re Looking For What:
A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
3–5+ years designing custom cabinetry or furniture (experience in residential or commercial design is a huge bonus)
CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, etc.) — if you’re not fluent, you’ll need to be ready to learn fast
Ability to create designs that balance aesthetics with functionality and practicality
Bonus points for experience with wood materials, finishes, and cabinetry manufacturing processes
