Job Summary:
This role is essential to maintaining the beauty and safety of our guest areas by ensuring our landscaping is well-kept, vibrant, and ready for fun every day
Key Responsibilities:
Mow, trim, and blow smaller, high-traffic areas such as the coaster area, Dino zone, and front entrance to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
Perform regular weed removal in ride queues, park entrances, and landscaping beds.
Install mulch as needed to enhance plant beds and pathways. Track mulch, soil, fertilizer, and other landscaping materials; report when resupply is needed.
Regularly inspect walkways, landscape features, and plant beds to identify and address any hazards (e.g., low-hanging branches, uneven mulch, slippery leaves) that could impact guest or team member safety.
Support seasonal and ongoing beautification projects, including planting flowers and refreshing garden areas.
Respond quickly to emergency landscaping needs without delays associated with outside contractors.
Clear trash and natural debris (fallen branches, palm fronds, etc.) from landscaped areas to keep the park tidy and visually appealing.
Assist with setting up, installing, and maintaining vacation or seasonal decorations in outdoor spaces (e.g., Christmas lights in trees, themed plantings).
Identify and report signs of pest infestations or plant disease; assist in applying basic treatment measures under supervision.
Provide enhanced landscaping attention during special events, media days, or peak vacation periods to ensure the park looks its best.
Work closely with facilities, theming, and entertainment teams to ensure landscaping aligns with park aesthetics and show standards.
Maintain a friendly, approachable demeanor when working in guest areas, answering simple questions or offering help if approached.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education and Experience:
One to three years of experience maintaining outdoor spaces in a professional capacity (parks, resorts, golf courses, commercial properties, or public venues) preferred but not required.
Familiarity with operating landscaping tools and equipment such as mowers, blowers, edgers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
Hands-on experience performing routine landscape maintenance and seasonal tasks like mulching or pruning.
Understanding safe chemical handling (e.g., fertilizers, herbicides) is a plus.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and work in fast-paced environments.
Self-motivated with a passion for maintaining high standards.
